Sharyn articled at the Office of the Children's Lawyer in 1988/1989.
She then practised with a firm specializing in Mental Health/
Administrative Law. Since 1993, Sharyn has practised exclusively
Family Law as a partner of Dickson MacGregor Appell.
Sharyn is past President of New
Directions, a non-profit organization assisting women
who have been bereaved or who have lost a partner through separation.
Sharyn is a founding member of Collaborative Practice Toronto
and now sits on the Board of Directors for Collaborative
Practice Toronto.
Sharyn enjoys the challenge of finding cost-effective solutions
for separating families. She is enthusiastic about the collaborative
approach and has successfully represented many clients using this
process.
