Professional Experience

Llana's practice is focused on Family Law, Estate and Civil Litigation.

Llana has published widely and presented at conferences in the areas of family law, human rights, including HIV/AIDS discrimination and same sex rights, and reproductive technology.

Llana has been an instructor in Family Law at the Bar Admission Course and at Ryerson Polytechnic University. She has lectured in Ensemble Acting at Concordia University's Faculty of Fine Arts in Montreal. Currently, Llana is a professor at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Common Law, teaching property, contracts, family law and civil procedure.

Llana is on the board of Casey House AIDS Hospice and chair of its Foundation Committee. She is a co-producer of "DQ", a cabaret fundraiser for Casey House's home hospice programme. Llana is also a director of the Music Gallery, Toronto's centre for creative music, and performs with the Ottawa jazz band, "Eddy and the Wave".
